The Wayne and Chris Cotton Family

James Wayne Cotton, born in 1947 to William D. Cotton and Jimmie N. Brown, served in the Navy. An electrical and mechanical contractor, he founded Electro-Mech Service Co. He worked for the State Building Mgt. Div., Hertz Corp., and Tinker AFB. He taught at Canadian Valley Tech Ctr. and retired to Durant to learn more of his Choctaw heritage.
Carolyne Chrisopher Cooper Cotton, born in 1947 to Charles G. Cooper and Lucille F. Langdon, worked for Putnam City Schools as financial secretary and for the Oklahoma State Election Board for 21 years; then moved to Durant to learn more of her Chickasaw heritage.
Married in 1966, they had two son—Jeffrey Wayne Cotton and Gregory James Cotton, in 1969 and 1972.
