Hannah Denise McCarty 1986-2003

Submitted by Pamela and Jack McCarty

Hannah Denise McCarty (1986–2003) danced on this earth for almost 17 years. We appreciate the opportunity to commemorate her life here; she enjoyed visiting the old OHS building and would've also enjoyed touring the new History Center. She loved to dance from a very young age and was inspired by movies of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to also pursue acting. Hannah fought a battle that affected her immune system all her life, yet she had such faith in God that she excelled in school and the arts, lived life to the fullest, and never stopped dancing. A performing arts scholarship in her name at UCO in Edmond, where she participated in many dance workshops, ensures that others will pursue their acting and dancing dreams in Hannah's honor.
