Samuel W. & Hester Franklin

Samuel Walsh Franklin was born near Sherman, TX in 1889, the son of Wm. Henry & Kitty Franklin. He received a BA degree in Georgetown, TX. He married Hester Self in Washita County, OK in 1914. He became a Methodist minister serving churches throughout north TX and OK. During WWI he was a chaplain in the Marines and served in France. He and Hester had 5 children. He died Aug 10, 1965 after 42 years of ministry in the OK Methodist Church.
