William (Bill) Hudson Taylor was principal of Classen High School from 1945 to 1956. Before going to Classen he was the principal of Britton High School, and Webster Jr. High. After leaving Classen he was the first principal of Northwest Classen High School before becoming the superintendent of secondary education for the Oklahoma City Schools. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and throughout his life he continued to attend OU football games.
