John Bray CAR Society Organized 1976

The National Society of the Children of the American Revolution was formally organized on April 5, 1895 under the direction of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Harriett Mulford Lothrop, Concord, Massachusetts was the Founder and First President 1895-1901. The Oklahoma Society Children of the American Revolution was organized March 26, 1938. The meeting was held at the state Historical Building in Oklahoma City. There were 83 delegates, members and visitors and a luncheon was held at the OKC Skirvin Hotel. The John Bray CAR Society was organized 11 July 1976 in Midwest City, OK with Mrs. Earl S. Woodard as Organizing Senior President. The Ebenezer Fletcher DAR Chapter sponsored the John Bray CAR Society.
