Lucille transitioned her roping skills and ability to work a crowd into becoming a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. Combining her knowledge of roping, riding, and cattle with her stage performance experience, Lucille was able to carve out her own creative niche in both the Wild West show and rodeo markets. Throughout the early 1900s Lucille's troupe traveled across the United States, and her keen business sense was soon apparent as her show became quite profitable. This skill set was also evidenced by her ability to successfully produce and promote rodeos.
