Scene from The Daughter of DawnThe bison herd that Pawnee Bill helped establish at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge was captured in the 1920 silent film, The Daughter of Dawn. Once believed to be lost, this film was restored by the Oklahoma Historical Society in 2007. The film's entire cast was comprised of American Indians, and it provides a rare glimpse at the material culture of the Kiowa and Comanche tribes.
