Fourth Annual Cowboy Round-Up at the Oklahoma History Center
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Oklahoma History Center invites families to load up the little cowboys and cowgirls and enjoy a rendezvous with adventure at the fourth annual Cowboy Round-Up on Saturday, March 22. Cowboys and chuck wagons will bring the cattle drive era to life for visitors of all ages. Special activities include rope making, Dutch oven cooking, side shows and more. Cowboy Round-Up runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with activities throughout the Oklahoma History Center and outdoor areas. Youth are encouraged to dress the part as they make their way to the museum. No age limit or registration is required.
The Oklahoma History Center is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains 32 museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state. Through its research archives, exhibits, educational programs and publications the OHS chronicles the rich history of Oklahoma.
