COVID-19 Safety Measures

The Oklahoma History Center follows all appropriate CDC and Oklahoma State Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations on public safety, cleaning practices, and approved cleaning products.

OHS is requiring face masks in all public areas. Due to current COVID-19 conditions and Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines, all visitors, staff, volunteers, contractors, and vendors are required to wear face masks in public areas of OHS facilities.

We ask that all staff and visitors do not enter the Oklahoma History Center if you have COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, have a fever, or are otherwise feeling sick or unwell; maintain social distancing in every part of the facility; and use appropriate handwashing techniques.

We have implemented the following procedures to keep all visitors, staff, and volunteers as safe as possible. Restrooms are cleaned and sanitized twice per day, and public counters, door handles, water fountains, elevator buttons, handrails, and light switches are sanitized daily. Hands-on interactive elements have been temporarily removed from the exhibits, and touch screens are deactivated. Designated safe paths and directional signage have been added to public areas, and only two people may ride in an elevator at a time. Also, hand-sanitizing stations are located throughout the building.

If you are planning to visit the Research Center, please view their new procedures and safety measures.
