Historical Travel Bag Workshop at Chisholm Trail Museum

KINGFISHER, Okla.Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum for our Historical Travel Bag workshop on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants will create a period travel bag under the guidance of Marna Davis, the Domestic Lady’s Dressmaker. The bag is fashioned after measurements from an original from Augusta Auctions. The style is found repeatedly in period fashion magazines and Butterick catalogs from the 1870s through the 1890s with virtually no change.

The cost for the class is $75, and all materials and lunch are provided. Please plan to bring your own sewing machine if possible or let the staff know if you cannot bring one when registering.

Payment must be received to secure registration, and registration is limited to 10 participants. Please contact the museum at 405-375-5176 to reserve your spot. The Chisholm Trail Museum is located at 605 Zellers Ave. in Kingfisher.
