Teachers Invited to National History Day Boot Camp at Oklahoma History Center

OKLAHOMA CITY — Middle and high school teachers are invited to a National History Day Boot Camp at the Oklahoma History Center (OHC) on Thursday, July 27, from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

This workshop will show teachers how to bring project-based learning and critical thinking skills into their classrooms through the adaptable curriculum of the National History Day program for grades 6-12. The cross-curricular program meets Oklahoma standards for social studies and other subjects.

Registration for National History Day Boot Camp is $10 for Oklahoma Historical Society members and $15 for nonmembers. The deadline for registration is Friday, July 14. The workshop will be held in the Musser Learning Lab, located on the first floor of the Oklahoma History Center.

The Oklahoma History Center is located at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Dr. in Oklahoma City. It is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Please call 405-522-0765 or visit www.okhistory.org/historycenter for admission costs and group rates.
