Chisholm Trail Museum to Hold Cast-Iron Cooking Class in November

KINGFISHER, Okla. — The Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher will host a cast-iron cooking class on Saturday, November 4, from noon-5 p.m. Students will learn to care for and cook in cast-iron cookware in this casual, fun class. Participants will create a Dutch oven delight and participate in a group meal. The class will explore historical and modern recipes while learning backyard cooking skills.

This class is designed for ages 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The class costs $30 per person or $50 per pair. All materials needed for the class will be provided. Preregistration is required, and payment must be received to secure a spot. Registration is limited to 30. Call 405-375-5176 to reserve your spot. The Chisholm Trail Museum is located at 605 Zellers Ave. in Kingfisher.

Chisholm Trail Museum is an affiliate of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
