Darla Z to Perform Christmas Concert Benefiting Oklahoma History Center

OKLAHOMA CITY — Singer and songwriter Darla Zuhdi, who goes by Darla Z on stage, will perform “A Night of Christmas Music” live at the Oklahoma History Center on Friday, December 15, starting at 7 p.m. This is a benefit concert for the Oklahoma History Center. Darla Z will perform crowd favorites, including “O Holy Night,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “White Christmas.” Darla Z will also perform her newest song, “To All the Gabbys in the World.” She wrote it to help and inspire victims of domestic abuse.

With a voice often described as sounding like Karen Carpenter, Darla Z’s lovely voice has earned her international acclaim. She began her musical career by opening for a Willie Nelson concert. Since then, she has performed repeatedly in Las Vegas. Darla Z has worked with Wayne Newton and starred in three public television music specials.

“I’m so excited to be singing and performing in a Christmas benefit concert for the Oklahoma History Center,” said Zuhdi. “Not only is it going to be a night filled with great Christmas music, but it will give some Oklahomans who haven’t been to the History Center the opportunity to see just how beautiful the building is and learn first-hand the incredibly interesting artifacts and exhibits it contains. These exhibits show just how much the people of Oklahoma’s significant and historic contributions have meant to the world and to Oklahoma.”

Darla Z will have special guest Al Fike. Fike has shared the stage with Bob Hope, Zig Ziglar, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Greenwood and many others. His performance will showcase his comical talent and musical aptitude. Santa Claus will also make an appearance and be available for photos.

Tickets can be purchased online. They are $25 for members of the Oklahoma Historical Society and $35 for nonmembers.
