Kilgen Organ performance by Walt Strony, Oklahoma History Center

The Oklahoma History Center is honored to announce the fall performance in Kilgen Organ program series. Accompanying the timeless Buster Keaton classic silent movie, The General (1926), will be organist Walt Strony. The performance will be Monday, October 22, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Devon Great Hall of the Oklahoma History Center. Tickets are $10 for Oklahoma Historical Society members and $20 for non-members. Walt Strony is one of America’s most sought-after concert organists and is known worldwide for his expertise in designing various organ registrations, or voicing adjustments. He is a published author on this topic as well as theatre organ restoration. The Allen Organ Company commissioned Strony to design a new four-manual instrument fitted with his unique settings—the Walt Strony Signature Series Organ. Strony is well known for his one-of-kind his performances, which display his original approach to the instrument.
