Saving Your Seeds presentation, Fort Towson Historic Site

Fort Towson Historic Site will host a presentation entitled “Saving Your Seeds” on Saturday, September 8, from 1 to 3 pm. This presentation is part of the fort’s Second Saturday Demo series. “Saving your Seeds” will teach participants how to harvest seeds in the fall to be used for spring planting. Attendees also will learn about different preservation methods, how seeds were stored in the 1840s, and how to plant a fall garden. Most of the demonstration will take place inside the air-conditioned museum, and heirloom seed packets will be given away.
