Vintage Snack Sets exhibit closes
The Fred Drummond Home in Hominy will feature a Vintage Snack Sets exhibit throughout the month of August. During the 1940s, ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s, women were expected to entertain at home by hosting teas, coffees, or church socials. Often they would use pretty snack sets that included a plate with a round indention to hold the matching cup. This exhibit will include pieces by manufacturers such as Anchor Hocking, Hazel-Atlas, the Indiana Glass Company, Royal Windsor, Queen Anne, and Royal Albert.
The Vintage Snack Sets exhibit is included with regular admission to the Drummond Home. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors ages 62 and older, $4 for students ages 6 to 18 years, free for children ages 5 and under, and free for all veterans and active military with ID. There is also a group rate of $5 each for groups of 10 or more visitors. For more information please call 918-885-2374.
