Cemetery Symbols workshop, Oklahoma History Center

October 22, 2016, 1 p.m.3 p.m.

Event Navigation

Visit the Oklahoma History Center for a Cemetery Symbols workshop on Saturday, October 22, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Gravestones and cemeteries are rich in a language of symbols. Those symbols can be difficult to interpret because of changes in meaning over time. By examining grave markers, one can learn more than just the person’s name. This workshop will provide the skills necessary to investigate the past through tombstones.

The workshop is free with museum admission and participants should be age 10 or older. To register, please call 405-522-0793 or email education@okhistory.org.education@okhistory.org
