Doaksville Candle Light Tours, Fort Towson Historic Site

On Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, take a historical night-time tour of the Choctaw Nation’s first capital. The Doaksville Candle Light Tours begin at 6:30 pm and take place every 30 minutes until 9:30 pm. Tours start at the gate leading to Doaksville, near the north end of the Fort Towson cemetery.
Tickets are available for $6 each, and admission is free for children 6 and under. Beginning October 4, reservations can be made by calling Fort Towson Historic Site at 580-873-2634. This event is cosponsored by the Oklahoma Historical Society, Friends of Fort Towson, and the Fort Towson Volunteer Fire Department.
