Five-time Emmy award winner Jim Hartz began his broadcasting career at KOTV in Tulsa before moving on to the major television networks. In the mid-1970s, he became nationally recognized for his role as cohost of the Today show with up-and-coming journalist Barbara Walters. Some of their landmark broadcasts included their coverage of the nation’s bicentennial celebration. Later, Jim coanchored the PBS series Over Easy with veteran actress Mary Martin.
A lifelong fan of fellow journalist Will Rogers, Jim serves as chairman of the board of commissioners for the Will Rogers Memorial.
