Aaron grew up in Stillwater, attended Northern Oklahoma College, and earned a bachelor's degree in business at Northestern State University. While in college he developed a successful business in lawn care that he expanded in the Sapulpa area after he got married. His life ended tragically in 2007 when, as a pedestrian walking his dog, he was struck and killed by a drunk driver. In his honor, the Aaron K. Stern Foundation was established to support Aaron's Camp which provides inner city kids experiences in a rural setting.
