About This Database

This database contains includes funeral records from multiple sources.

Funeral Program Index

This database is a compilation of information pertaining to funeral programs found in the OHS Manuscript Archives. Included in the index is the individual's first name, last name, date of birth, and date of death; the name of the cemetery where they are buried (if known); and collection name, number, and box number. Some entries may not list the date of birth or death if that information was not included in the program. This index will be updated as we receive new funeral programs.

Email Mallory.covington@history.ok.gov for copies from this index.

Funeral Ledger Collection, Oklahoma County

The funeral ledger collection index was compiled from two ledgers from an unknown Oklahoma County funeral home. The ledger includes information such as name, date of death, reason for death, funeral costs, and who paid for the funeral.

Email Mallory.covington@history.ok.gov for copies from this index.

Wilson Funeral Home and Mills Funeral Home, Grant County

The database includes an index to records from the Wilson Funeral Home and the Mills Funeral Home, both located in Grant County. The Wilson Funeral Home is located in Pond Creek (LDS Film # 1398903). The information available varies but typically includes the individual’s name, age, and date of death. Additional information about the person’s parents, spouse, cause of death, and date or place of birth may also be included. Mills Funeral Home records generally include the individual's name, age, spouse or informant, and date of death.

Please note: OHS has no additional information available for these Grant County records; all the data from the index is included in this online database. Thank you to Karen Wise for sharing this information with the Oklahoma Historical Society.
