On Saturday, July 20, the Fort Towson Historic Site will team up with the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Division to host a Community Image Scanning Day. During this event, guests may bring images or documents they want to preserve. Staff will scan the items and collect any information that may be available. Guests will take their original images and documents home.
This event makes it possible for our patrons to preserve and share their history while preserving cherished items for posterity. With this technology, images can be saved, shared, and become searchable on The Gateway to Oklahoma History.
