“Winter on the Farm” living history program begins

November 30

Event Navigation

From Saturday, November 30 to Friday, December 13, visitors can visit Hunter’s Home working farm to watch how staff prepares the farm for the coming winter season. Through activities, 19th-century trades, cooking, chores, and animal care at Hunter’s Home—the only remaining pre–Civil War Cherokee plantation home in Oklahoma—visitors can experience living history as it is practiced. No reservations are needed, but regular admission fees apply. For more information, call 918-456-2751.

To follow all the details of upcoming events, points of history, time-honored recipes, points of etiquette, and everything happening at the historic home, check out the Hunter’s Home Facebook page.
