Oklahoma Summer Social Studies Conference
The Oklahoma Summer Social Studies Conference will be held in person on Tuesday, July 26, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Oklahoma History Center. Back to School Bash
Educators, get ready for the upcoming school year by attending Oklahoma Museums Association’s (OMA) annual Back to School Bash on Thursday, August 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center. Observing with NASA Smithsonian exhibit kiosk opens
Beginning September 12, the Oklahoma History Center (OHC) will host Observing With NASA, an authentic data experience with astronomical imaging. This exhibit kiosk from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory engages visitors in the art and science of NASA imagery. Education Day
Fort Gibson Historic Site will hold an education day for local schools on Friday, April 21. Schools may register for the 10 a.m.-noon session or the 1-3 p.m. session. Public, private and homeschool groups are welcome. Advanced registration is required. National History Day Boot Camp
On Thursday, July 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Education staff of the Oklahoma History Center will host a workshop to show middle and high school teachers how to bring project-based learning and critical thinking skills into their classrooms through the adaptable curriculum of the National History Day program for grades 6–12.
