Oklahoma Historical Society Awards Banquet Scheduled for March 23

OKLAHOMA CITY — The 2023 Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, March 23, at the Oklahoma History Center (OHC). A cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m., and dinner and the awards program will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Several awards will be presented, including to the Oklahoma Historians Hall of Fame inductees and Guardians of History honorees.

OETA Vice President of Production Susan Cadot will emcee the event. The evening will include a special musical performance by Wood Willow and catering by Rococo. Cocktail attire is requested, and guests must RSVP by March 10.

Individual tickets are available for $100 and include one ticket to the reception and banquet. Sponsor tables include eight reception tickets, a banquet table for eight, and the sponsor’s name listed on the printed program and OHS website. Donation levels are Silver $1,000; Gold $2,500; and Platinum $5,000. Proceeds from this event will go toward the George Nigh Internship Endowment Fund. This endowment supports the Oklahoma Historical Society internship program, preparing the next generation of museum professionals.

The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
