Free Webinar to Give Overview of National Register of Historic Places
OKLAHOMA CITY — On Friday, November 15, from 10-11:30 a.m., the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) will hold a webinar to discuss an overview of working with the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Lynda Ozan, deputy state historic preservation officer, will be the featured presenter. Ozan has written or co-authored more than 150 NRHP nominations and one National Historic Landmark nomination.
The NRHP is the foundation of the SHPO’s programs, and a basic understanding of it is essential for those involved in historic preservation at all levels of government and the private sector. This workshop provides detailed information about the criteria for listing, criteria considerations and areas of significance.
Registration is required. For more information, contact Lynda Ozan, deputy state historic preservation officer, at 405-522-4484 or lynda.ozan@history.ok.gov.
