Cherokee Strip Museum to Host Christmas Tea

PERRY, Okla. — On Sunday, December 8, the Cherokee Strip Museum in Perry will host a Christmas Tea from 1:30-4 p.m. This event coincides with the Christmas Tour of Homes in Perry. This event is free and open to the public.

The museum, gazebo and Rose Hill School will have festive holiday decorations to set the mood for an old-fashioned Christmas. Historical interpreters in Victorian dress and young carolers will add to the seasonal splendor.

A station will be set up for children to make and decorate old-fashioned ornaments to take home. Guests can enjoy tea, hot cider and cookies.

The Cherokee Strip Museum is located at 2617 W. Fir St. in Perry. For more information about activities and exhibits at the museum, please call 580-336-2405.

The Cherokee Strip Museum and Rose Hill School is an affiliate of the Oklahoma Historical Society, operated in partnership with the Cherokee Strip Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
