Live Recording of “A Very OK Podcast” Planned for February 12 at Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore
OKLAHOMA CITY — The February episode of “A Very OK Podcast” is going on the road! On Thursday, February 12, at 6 p.m., hosts Trait Thompson and Dr. Bob Blackburn will have a special live recording of the podcast at Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. The topic for this episode is “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son,” Will Rogers. The public is invited to watch the podcast recording.
The episode will talk about Rogers’ life growing up in the Cherokee Nation, his rise to stardom through vaudeville and movies, his family life and more! It’ll cover Will’s connection to Route 66, also known as the Will Rogers Highway. Special guests for the episode will be Tad Jones, director of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, and Jennifer Rogers, Will’s great-granddaughter.
Admission to this event is free, and refreshments will be generously provided by the Will Rogers Memorial Foundation.
