The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will host Family Farm Day on Saturday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year, Family Farm Day will focus on Farm-to-Table and how early residents of Oklahoma provided for themselves before the introduction of grocery stores and commercial preservation techniques. Participate in hands-on crafts and games for the whole family!

In addition to our popular annual activities like the petting zoo by Daze in a Maze, vintage tractors supplied by the Major County Historical Society, and pumpkin painting, we will have special programs that include Native American farming techniques by Native Farming Solutions, early drying/preservation practices utilized by homesteaders, and more! Leonardo’s Children’s Museum is joining us again this year and Crazy Plate Catering will also be providing a special Farm-to-Table themed lunch option!

This year will also feature a silent bake auction with donated baked goods from local businesses and volunteers. Be sure to bring your sweet tooth and try to take home some delicious treats after a full day of fun!

Get your picture taken with a vintage tractor, while riding a pony, or next to our pile of pumpkins while they last! There are plenty of opportunities to make memories when you visit Family Farm Day!
