Voices of Oklahoma is dedicated to the preservation of the oral history of Oklahoma, with voices and stories of famous Oklahomans and ordinary citizens captured forever in their own words. Oil and gas, ranching, politics, education, sports legends, and more are visited in these far-ranging interviews.
The Oklahoma Historical Society has partnered with John Erling and his oral history project, Voices of Oklahoma. Voices of Oklahoma is one of the premier oral history projects in the country, and this partnership will ensure John’s critical work to enhance Oklahoma’s historical record continues in perpetuity. All interviews conducted by Erling will be housed in the Oklahoma Historical Society archives, and the society will continue Erling’s work when he decides to retire.
