Brick: Bickham, Robert
Contributed by Lise DeShea
Robert M. Bickham was born 23 Nov 1953 at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC, where his father, Jack M. Bickham, was stationed with the Air Force. Bob grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, and spent much of his adult life there. He worked as a meat market manager until an injury forced a career change. His later work included renovating and managing rental properties, refurbishing antiques and helping adults with developmental disabilities. He died 05 Sept 2005 of complications from pneumonia. His brick says Dad and Gramps because his two daughters and their children were the pride of his life.

In 2012 the Oklahoma Historical Society invited those who purchased one of the monogrammed bricks paving the Red River Journey at the Oklahoma History Center to share about the person or group their brick honors. Below is a list of those who submitted stories and the message shown on their brick. Use the links below to read the contributed story.
This project was made possible by a generous donation from Catherine B. Wootten.
