Monogrammed Brick Stories

Brick: Terry, Robert M.

Contributed by Mike Terry

I am Robert Mike Terry, the son of Glen Terry and Rebecca Cunningham. In 1957, the family moved from California to a peanut farm in Oklahoma in Caddo County. I attended both SWOSU (BA-1972) and OSU (MA-1976) and served in the USAF during the Viet Nam conflict. I retired in 2001 having worked for the OKDHS for 31 years. My children are John and Jason Terry and step children are Emma Schlais and John Hastings. I belong to the Mayflower Society, the Oklahoma Historical Society, Garfield County, Oklahoma Genealogists and I am a Family Tree DNA Administrator for seven surname projects. My wife Darla [Hale] Terry purchased my brick as a gift for my birthday as she knew I was known as The Terry Family Historian.

In 2012 the Oklahoma Historical Society invited those who purchased one of the monogrammed bricks paving the Red River Journey at the Oklahoma History Center to share about the person or group their brick honors. Below is a list of those who submitted stories and the message shown on their brick. Use the links below to read the contributed story.
