Karen Keith served four terms as Tulsa County Commissioner for District 2 until retiring in January 2025. Some projects she is most proud of include a successful campaign to build a new state-of-the-art Juvenile Center for Tulsa County; successfully advocated for funding to rebuild the Tulsa/West Tulsa Levee system; the opening of Gilcrease Expressway after years of planning; and a new building for the Oklahoma State University Extension.
Keith grew up in Muskogee, where she was active in 4-H and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1972. She graduated in 1976 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in radio, TV-news, and public affairs. Keith worked twenty-six years in broadcasting with twenty-one years at KJRH as an anchor, reporter, and executive producer and host of Oklahoma Living. She is proudest of her work on documentaries that took her to Vietnam, Israel, Germany, Russia, and Mexico. Keith joined the OHS board in 2011 and is the current vice president. Active in civic affairs, Keith served as the 100th president of the Rotary Club of Tulsa, is a current member of the Will Rogers Memorial Foundation, the OKPOP Foundation, and the Tulsa Arvest Board of Directors. She is a member of Leadership Oklahoma Class XX, the Oklahoma Academy, and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and was previously a member of Chambers of Commerce in Tulsa, Jenks, Sand Springs, and Southwest Tulsa. Keith and her husband, Patrick Malloy, reside in Tulsa.
