Fort Towson Historic Site to Host Woodturning Demonstration

FORT TOWSON, Okla. — The Fort Towson Historic Site will host the Southeastern Oklahoma Woodturners on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The craftsmen will demonstrate the process of turning pieces of wood into wonderful and often usable pieces of art, such as bowls and rolling pins. This is a come-and-go event that is included with paid admission to Fort Towson Historic Site.

Fort Towson Historic Site is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
