Join the Oklahoma History Center Museum on Monday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. for the OkieTales final story time of the summer. We will be reading Juana Martinez-Neal’s award-winning story Alma: And How She Got Her Name (2019). The title explores the multicultural history of Oklahoma, the importance of family heritage, names, and exactly what it means to be you, no matter how many names you might have.

OkieTales story time and activities are geared toward elementary students, preschoolers, and their families. The books and activities will be largely Oklahoma-themed and connected to the state’s history. Families do not need to register ahead of time. It’s a free come-and-go program with paid admission to the museum. OHS members can get in for free.
