This database includes more than 9,000 students listed in teacher’s quarterly reports from the records of the Dawes Commission, 1904 to January 1907. These schools were located in various tribal nations but not all students included were tribal citizens.
The Dawes Commission records pertain to the Five Tribes and are part of the American Indian Archives.
