Barn Quilt workshop **class is full**

July 24, 2021, 9 a.m.4 p.m.

Event Navigation

Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum on July 24 for our summer Barn Quilt workshop. Barn quilts are not made of fabric, but are instead square-shaped boards painted to resemble a quilt block. The colorful wooden patterns are placed on the exteriors of structures, and have evolved into a rural development initiative to boost tourism in communities all across the United States. Oklahoma State University Extension Educator Lindy Hoel will lead this workshop, where each participant will complete their very own barn quilt to proudly display at home.

This workshop is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and registration is $30 per person; lunch is included. This program is for adults, or teens attending with a parent. Please contact the museum at 405-375-5176 to reserve your place.
