On Thursday, August 25, at noon, (CST), the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) will give a presentation by Lynda Ozan, Oklahoma’s deputy state historic preservation officer, and Kristina Wyckoff, Section 106 coordinator/historic archeologist, both of OHS’s SHPO Division. They will discuss creative strategies (beyond the practice of “document and destroy” [D&D]) for mitigating adverse effects on historic properties in the Section 106 Process.
