Make & Take Workshop: Cornbread

Join the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center for History Alive! on the Cherokee Strip on Saturday, February 19 for a special Make & Take Workshop! A ticket reserves a spot in the class includes all of the ingredients, AND comes with a 6″ cast iron skillet participants will be taking home!

The workshop will be teaching how to make cornbread from a heritage recipe. This includes a demonstration in shelling the corn from the cob, learning how pioneers would grind it down to cornmeal, and combining all of the ingredients. Participants will leave with their own cast-iron skillet with the cornbread ingredients, ready to take home, bake, and serve!
