“Outlaw Mummy: The Story of Elmer McCurdy” webinar

On Thursday, October 13, at noon (Central Time), the State Historic Preservation Office is not afraid to host Michael Williams, curator at the Oklahoma Territorial Museum in Guthrie, for an unsettling story about the world travels of Elmer McCurdy.

Williams will tell the twisted tale of the Outlaw Mummy Elmer McCurdy following his life as a train-robbing outlaw, the gun that killed him, the lawman who fired the fatal shot, and McCurdy’s postmortem career as a carnival attraction.
